Local Market Update – September 2017 Figures

The housing market remains tight as home prices continue to rise. With the exception of Arcadia, year-over-year appreciation continues to climb.  A six month supply of homes is considered a ‘normal’ market; most of our area sits with approximately a two and one-half month supply. This means that there are still many buyers searching for homes who weren’t able to find one during the busy summer season. The buyers out there now are serious buyers. These next few months are a good time for both buyers and sellers: buyers will have less competition and can get into a home before the prices climb even higher; sellers will experience fewer buyers coming through their doors, but those who come will be serious buyers, ready to purchase now.  Below are the city by city statistics for the month of September:
